I’m Dreaming of Home

Estándar

I hear the mountain birds
Oigo las aves de montaña

The sound of rivers singing
El sonido de canto de los ríos

A song I’ve often heard
Una canción que he escuchado a menudo

It flows through me now
Fluye a través de mí ahora

So clear and so loud
Tan clara y tan fuerte

I stand where I am
Estoy donde estoy

And forever I’m dreaming of home
Y siempre estoy soñando con casa

I feel so alone
Me siento tan solo,

I’m dreaming of home
estoy soñando con casa

It’s carried in the air
Es transportado por el aire

The breeze of early morning
La brisa de la mañana

I see the land so fair
Veo la tierra tan linda

My heart opens wide
Mi corazón se abre

There’s sadness inside
Hay dentro tristeza

I stand where I am
Estoy donde estoy

And forever I’m dreaming of home
Y siempre estoy soñando de casa

I feel so alone, I’m dreaming of home
Me siento tan solo, estoy soñando de casa

This is no foreign sky
Esto no es un cielo extranjero

I see no foreign light
No veo ninguna luz extranjera

But far away am I
Pero estoy muy lejos

From some peaceful land
De alguna tierra pacífica

I’m longing to stand

A hand in my hand
Una mano en mi mano

…forever I’m dreaming of home
Y siempre estoy soñando de casa

I feel so alone, I’m dreaming of home
Me siento tan solo, estoy soñando con su casa …

Lisa Marie & Elvis Presley – In The Ghetto

Estándar

As the snow flies
on a cold and gray chicago mornin’
a poor little baby child is born
in the ghetto
and his mama cries
‘cause if there’s one thing that she don’t need
it’s another hungry mouth to feed
in the ghetto
people, don’t you understand
the child needs a helping hand
or he’ll grow to be an angry young man some day
take a look at you and me,
are we too blind to see,
do we simply turn our heads
and look the other way
well the world turns
and a hungry little boy with a runny nose
plays in the street as the cold wind blows
in the ghetto
and his hunger burns
so he starts to roam the streets at night
and he learns how to steal
and he learns how to fight
in the ghetto
then one night in desperation
a young man breaks away
he buys a gun, steals a car,
tries to run, but he don’t get far
and his mama cries
as a crowd gathers ‘round an angry young man
face down on the street with a gun in his hand
in the ghetto
as her young man dies,
on a cold and gray chicago mornin’,
another little baby child is born
in the ghetto
